TESSORA VASO

2025

Tessora fuses Indian baroque with Italian contemporary design, blending rich heritage with modern elegance. As part of a Flaminia Italy project, six designers transformed identical vases using unique screen-printed visuals, showcasing the versatility of graphic design in ceramics.Inspired by India’s ancient block printing and Italian minimalism, Tessora reinterprets traditional craftsmanship through sleek screen-printing. Its design draws from centuries-old Indian textile techniques, where intricate motifs are hand-pressed to create ornamental patterns. This artisanal approach is modernized with refined, contemporary aesthetics.

A reimagined Indian pattern forms a gradient around the vase, creating a seamless transition between intricate detail and negative space. This interplay of maximalist ornamentation and minimalist restraint reflects Italy’s timeless design sensibility. Tessora embodies a dialogue between past and present, opulence and simplicity. It is more than a decorative object—it is a statement of harmony, craftsmanship, and the enduring beauty of cultural fusion.
